Job DetailsJob Location: Building 1155 - Rothschild, WI 54474Position Summary: Wausau Tile is seeking a hardworking, energetic, and safety-focused individual to join our Accessories Shipping/Receiving department. This position is responsible for staging, packaging, crating, and shipping products while maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, read production paperwork, use hand tools and measuring equipment, and operate machinery as needed. Key Responsibilities: Product Staging: Retrieve and stage products using a forklift based on daily and weekly load schedules. Coordinate with production and management to locate or expedite missing items. Handle special product requirements, including packing accessories, drying, and thawing. Product Crating & Packaging: Manually handle products up to 75 lbs; team lift products weighing more than 75 lbs. Secure products on pallets using bracing, banding, and other appropriate methods. Perform inventory transactions using MES (Manufacturing Execution System). Prepare and complete shipping paperwork. Apply mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities to address unique loading challenges. Shipping & Receiving Operations: Retrieve products from indoor and outdoor storage using a forklift. Load various trailer types, including vans, flatbeds, and Conestoga trailers. Operate an overhead crane and use nylon straps as needed. Manage inventory transfers, requisitions, order closures, and inspections. Process FedEx shipments and utilize the XA computer program. Other Tasks & Housekeeping: Support other departments as needed. Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, organizing, and restocking. Work with the Supervisor and Safety Director to maintain safe operations and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Required Competencies & Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and understand production paperwork. Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment as required. Ability to learn and utilize computer systems, including MES and XA. Strong commitment to safety and proper lifting techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced production and shipping environment. Physical Requirements: Frequent periods of standing, lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs; team lift products weighing more than 75 lbs. Repetitive use of hands, wrists, shoulders, knees, and back. Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required.
