Job DetailsJob Location: Building 1 - Rothschild, WI 54474GENERAL OVERVIEW Wausau Tile is seeking a hardworking, energetic, quality-driven, and safety-minded individual to join our Precast Terrazzo team. The successful candidate must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team, with little to no supervision. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with detailed work, have experience with or be willing to learn the use of measuring equipment, hand tools, and the operation of machinery to ensure high-quality production standards. BRIEF DESCRIPTION The Terrazzo/Epoxy Popping/Mold Set-Up position involves a combination of mold assembly, product removal, and general maintenance tasks. The employee will work closely with molds, setting them up for concrete terrazzo and epoxy product pours, and carefully removing the cured products once they have set. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, the ability to follow blueprints, and the use of various tools and equipment to ensure the molds are prepared properly and the products are handled safely and efficiently. SPECIFIC TASKS Mold Assembly & Preparation: Set up, assemble, and prepare molds/forms for concrete terrazzo and epoxy products, which include wood, foam, or plastic materials. Clean molds from previous pours and remove dust or residue. Add rebar supports, inserts, and other materials to molds as specified. Apply release oil to molds to ensure easy product removal. Use measuring equipment and interpret blueprints to ensure proper mold setup. Product Removal (Popping): Remove or "pop" cured products from molds the following day using powered hand tools. Use overhead crane and hoist systems (nylon/chain slings or pneumatic suction pads) to safely lift products. Move products onto pallets or carts for staging and further processing. For lighter products, manual lifting or team-lifting techniques may be employed. Clean-up & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and general cleaning tasks as required. Scrape, sweep, and clean both workstations and surrounding areas to maintain an organized and safe environment. Assist in other tasks as needed, including mold preparation, material handling, and any other production-related duties. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, and squatting. Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. Repeated motions, including those involving wrists, hands, fingers, knees, back, shoulders, and neck. Comfortable with ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and similar structures.
