Pest Hunters / Humbug Holiday Lighting of Central Austin – Round Rock – Pflugerville is a growing pest, mosquito, and holiday/permanent lighting company serving the greater Austin market. We focus on building long-term partnerships and recurring service contracts.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist to drive new recurring revenue through professional networking, strategic outreach, and partnership development — on a part-time basis.
This is not a door-to-door sales role. This is a professional networking and business development position. This role carries a clear path to full-time as the company grows.
Employment Type: Part-Time | 20 – 25 hrs/week Location: Central Austin – Round Rock – Pflugerville, TX (Field-based) Reports To: Business Owner
Key Responsibilities
- Attend networking groups and business associations (BNI, Austin & Round Rock Chambers) on behalf of both brands
- Develop relationships with property managers, HOAs, apartment communities, and commercial properties
- Build referral partnerships with real estate professionals, landscapers, and complementary local businesses
- Conduct in-person meetings, present service proposals, and build recurring contracts
- Promote Humbug Holiday/Permanent Lighting services and upsell to existing Pest Hunters clients
- Track pipeline in CRM and coordinate new client onboarding with operations
Performance Expectations
- 10+ relationship touches per week
- 3+ in-person meetings per week
- Consistent proposal generation
- Measurable recurring revenue growth month over month
Compensation
Base Pay: $18 – $22/hr (based on experience) | 20 – 25 hrs/week
Commission — New Customers, First 12 Months Only:
- 15% of residential revenue (first year)
- 20% of first-year commercial contract value
- $100 – $200 one-time bonus per B2B referral partner signed
- Paid on collected revenue only
Additional: Performance bonuses | Mileage reimbursement | Uncapped earning potential
Estimated Monthly Earnings: $2,000 – $4,500+
Qualifications
Required: 2+ years B2B sales or business development | Strong networker | Self-motivated | Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred: Austin-area network | Service industry experience | CRM familiarity | Referral partner program experience
