As one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking a Data Analyst III, to join the Round Rock, TX team.

 

Job Description

The Data Analyst III is a senior-level leader responsible for guiding data strategy, building enterprise-level tools, and leading a team of analysts. This position expands on the responsibilities of the Analyst I and II roles by managing high-level projects, ensuring data integrity across platforms, and mentoring staff. As a thought leader, this individual will set analytical direction, define reporting standards, and shape business intelligence capabilities to drive strategic decisions across departments.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst III, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight
  • Architect scalable data models, reporting platforms, and forecasting tools to serve business units enterprise-wide
  • Collaborate with executives, engineering, sales, and operations to define KPIs, reporting needs, and automation initiatives
  • Curate and maintain centralized datasets and ensure accuracy, security, and compliance across all sources
  • Design and implement dashboards and reporting systems using SQL, SSIS, Excel, VBA, and BI tools
  • Oversee regression modeling, baseline adjustments, and complex statistical analyses for forecasting and optimization
  • Standardize analytics processes across teams to support consistent and repeatable insights
  • Partner with IT and software teams to enhance integration between data pipelines and customer-facing applications
  • Serve as the point of contact for advanced analytical initiatives, including predictive modeling, cost analysis, and energy savings assessments
  • Present key findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders in executive-ready formats

Qualifications

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

 

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Expert-level SQL and SSIS proficiency; advanced Excel, VBA, and data visualization experience
  • Demonstrated success in building enterprise-wide analytical platforms or tools
  • Deep knowledge of energy management, utility billing, or smart building systems
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and mentoring junior analysts
  • Ability to communicate complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other modern BI tools
  • Familiarity with commercial HVAC, lighting systems, and building automation platforms
  • Exposure to data security and governance best practices
