The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to perform a variety of HR related tasks in support of the YMCA of Central Texas.

This Full-Time position requires multi-tasking and the ability to work cohesively with a strong HR Team. Must have the ability to change from one project to another with little notice, as well as the ability to meet deadlines while remaining friendly and professional. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, reliable, detail oriented and have good judgement that matches the Association core values, policies and procedures. Must be customer service driven and a supportive team player.

Primary Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of Human Resources functions, including but not limited to, Onboarding, data entry, filing, and records management
  • Assists with high volume onboarding of part-time and seasonal staff
  • Assists HR Team with a variety of duties as needed
  • Process status change forms
  • Conduct Employment Verifications, background screens and drug testing
  • Run employee and HR Department reports as needed
  • Maintain and update training system with Training Manager
  • Organizes, files and stores employee records; scan, sort, organize records in records management database; track and properly store in appropriate locations
  • Assist HR department with operational tracking reports
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Participates in Association and Branch Events as required

Minimum Qualifications

Seeking an HR Professional that enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment and will collaborate well with others to ensure we are meeting our mission, vision and goals for the Association and the community.

  • Organized, self-starter; demonstrates flexibility to move from task to task as needed
  • Strong human relations and relationship building skills;
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Complies with internal policies, procedures and State, Federal and Local laws; Maintains Confidentiality;
  • Flexibility to help where needed during seasonal peak hiring and as business needs change.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and meet departmental deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer Service driven
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or Communications is preferred;
  • Experience in a professional office environment preferred;
  • Must pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, criminal history and sex offender check.

Salary: $45,000-$52,000 DOE
