Vista Vet Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team and support outpatient care. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on support. We are seeking dependable, motivated candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, work efficiently, anticipate team needs, communicate professionally, and take pride in delivering exceptional support throughout every stage of the patient visit.

In this position, you will play a key role in both exam room and outpatient and procedures, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, for each hour worked
  • We are open to either Full-Time or Part-Time, with flexible availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating weekends.

Preferred Qualifications and Skill Set:

  • 1+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
  • Proficiency in the following skills (preferred):
    • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
    • Radiology positioning and safety protocols
    • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
    • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
