POSITION SUMMARY Â
We are seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment manufacturing, steel fabrication, or industrial production environments. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and welding heavy structural components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
•   Perform structural welding on heavy equipment, large assemblies, and fabricated steel components.
•   Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel components using blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and verbal instructions.
•   Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
•   Weld carbon steel and other metals ranging from 1/8 inch to 4 inches in thickness using approved welding procedures.
•   Perform MIG/FCAW welding using dual-shield wire up to 1/16 inch diameter in all required welding positions.
•   Repair worn, damaged, or cracked steel components to restore structural integrity.
•   Safely operate fabrication and shop equipment, including oxy-acetylene torches, plasma cutters, air arc gouging equipment, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
•   Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable industry specifications.
•   Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
•   Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication environment to meet production schedules.
•   Must be able to perform all assigned work in compliance with applicable MSHA regulations, company policies, and safe work practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSÂ
To perform the essential functions of this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
•   Minimum of 3 years of structural welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy equipment environment.
•   Demonstrated proficiency with MIG/FCAW welding processes, including dual-shield wire up to 1/16 inch.
•   Experience welding with Flux Core (FCAW), Metal Core, Fab Core, and 110XX/80XX electrodes and filler metals.
•   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
•   Ability to successfully complete a structural weld qualification test.
•   Experience fabricating and welding large structural components and heavy steel assemblies.
•   Knowledge of safe operation of fabrication equipment and material handling systems.
•   Ability to lift, position, and handle heavy materials and work in various welding positions.
REQUIRED TRAINING, EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
•   Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing, mining equipment repair, or industrial steel fabrication.
•   Experience working in a high-production welding environment.
•   Experience operating overhead cranes and other shop material-handling equipment.
•   Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Physical
•   Walking, standing, and seating for extended periods of time.
•   Lifting, bending and stooping occasionally.  Ability to lift above shoulder and/or carry over 60 pounds.Â
•   Ability to push and/or pull over 60 pounds.
•   Ability to carry on conversations (speaking and hearing) for extended periods of time.
•   Ability to safely operate around moving equipment and hazardous situations.
•   Ability to climb to places over 30ft high
•   Ability to wear safety equipment such as hearing /eye protection, steel-toed boots, and hardhats.

•   Fast-paced environment – must be able to handle high-stress situations and adapt to change.
•   Due to the nature of working around other employees and other schedules, patience and perseverance are excellent attributes in this position.
