This position is located: Roy, UT.
What You’ll Get To Do
We are seeking an electrical engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing a custom test station. The role requires hands‑on experience designing and fabricating harnesses, selecting, and configuring power supplies, and implementing signal‑conditioning and processing circuitry. Responsibilities include rack‑mount hardware design, integration of Ethernet, RS‑422, and discrete I/O interfaces, and selection of components that reliably provide power to the unit under test. The candidate must be proficient in system‑level test execution, working with classified data and classified network hardware, and comfortable collaborating with other engineers to meet rigorous nuclear surety requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Electrical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 0 years of experience
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience with electrical and power systems design and analysis, controls systems and/or engine/generator subsystems or components.
Experience with Cable/Harness Design and Analysis
Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ETAP or SKM PTW32 for short circuit analysis, coordination studies, and arc flash studies.
Electrical design experience in CAD such as NX/Revit
Experience in engineering construction administration and field inspections of electrical design installation.
Experience working with external customer to meet program expectations in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience with maintenance and reliability engineering
Experience using the following tools: ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents
Teamcenter/CPLM experience
Continuous Process Improvement experience
Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Agile
Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Building Code (IBC) and Unified Facilities Criteria.
Knowledge of various data transmission formats (eg. Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Â
