Job Description

As a Transportation Security Officer: Airport Roving Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic airport location serving the government sector. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will make a meaningful impact in a fast-moving environment.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating with site contacts and first responders during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
