Scope of Work:
The NPD-Specialist develops tools, theories, skills and knowledge to advance the practice of the NPD specialty. Using expertise in education and professional development practices, the NPD Practitioner Specialist (NPD-S) functions autonomously and in collaboration with staff, leadership, faculty and researchers to develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs that influence professional role competence, continuous learning and growth. Promote synergistic practices and patient outcomes throughout the organization, and advances and leads NPD practice based on the Beaumont Health Nursing Professional Practice Model and in accordance with Association Nursing Professional Development Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing Development Practice.
Qualifications
  • Required Master's Degree in nursing
  • 3 years of relevant experience Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting. Required
  • 5 years of relevant experience of education experience. Preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • Board Cert Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center 2 Yrs required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
