We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facilities maintenance operations and ensure our properties remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of assigned buildings and physical assets. This role ensures facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will lead and support a team of maintenance professionals while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff performance. Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient use of resources. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to team members. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and high performance. Facilities & Preventative Maintenance Oversee routine and preventative maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems. Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities. Compliance, Safety & Budget Management Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, building codes, and health regulations. Enforce safe work practices and proper use of tools and protective equipment. Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment. Assist in developing annual budgets and 3-year capital plans. Track expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions. Generate reports on facility conditions and maintenance performance. Project & Vendor Coordination Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs. Assist with renovation and capital improvement projects. Collaborate with Property Management and other departments to meet operational needs. Maintain strong communication with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors. QualificationsRequired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 7 years of facilities maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. Universal refrigerant certification required. Strong background in preventative maintenance programs and safety compliance. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility-related legal standards. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Extensive knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and perform under pressure, particularly in emergency situations. Familiarity with facility management software and CMMS systems. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field. Experience in healthcare facility management. Professional certifications (CFM, HVAC certification, etc.). Experience with energy management and sustainability programs. Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS). Experience in a large, multi-facility or industrial setting. Work Environment This role involves both indoor and outdoor work with potential exposure to varying weather conditions. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, stooping, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
