The Role: Patient Coordinator/Medical Receptionist

This role ensures a smooth and supportive patient experience by managing intake, coordinating with physicians and insurers, and organizing equipment pick-up and delivery for our Orthotics & Prosthetics department.

 What We're Looking For

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills – you're approachable, helpful, and professional

  • Solid organizational and multitasking abilities – you can handle multiple priorities with ease

  • Comfort with computers and data entry – accuracy and attention to detail are your strengths

  • Previous experience in a medical office is a plus, but not required – we’re happy to train the right candidate!

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Get patients set up for success – Enter all the important info into our system, from personal details to insurance coverage (accuracy = everything!).

  • Be the friendly voice – Answer incoming calls and help patients, doctors, and caregivers with questions, updates, and next steps.

  • Coordinate with physicians – Gather verbal or written orders needed for insurance.

  • Secure those approvals – Make sure all necessary insurance authorizations are in place before we hand off equipment to patients.

  • Product pick-up planner – Let customers know when their products are ready and coordinate the best time for them to swing by.

  • Stay organized – Keep the “work hold” bins moving by scheduling pick-ups quickly and efficiently.

  • Keep it welcoming – Make sure the patient waiting area stays clean, tidy, and inviting at all times.
