 Job Title:  Manufacturing Engineer 
 Function/Dept.  Manufacturing 
 Reports to  : Manufacturing Engineering Services Manager 
 Supervises  : Directs Hourly personal in the absence of a Unit Manager or Supervisor in their assigned area. 
 Job Classification:  Exempt 

Mission 
Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for New and Current Products so that they are built in a safe working environment, to high quality standards, and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible. 

Will also provide technical assistance and leadership to the Cell Management Team, Cite Team, and Natural Work Teams to sustain Current Production to high levels of safety, quality, and efficient production.

Principle Activities 
 Define sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes and document procedures for operations team to execute. 

Track performance metrics and lead improvement efforts.
 Determine technology and preventative maintenance activities and schedules for the sheet metal department equipment. Track performance of equipment and lead improvement efforts. Establish required operator training to develop equipment operator expertise.


 Lead capital investment effort for sheet metal department.
 Using the current PDP Process evaluate, manage and implement New Product Designs for manufacturing i.e., Tool estimates, Start-up Costs, Plant Layout, and Participation and Leadership on Start Up Team.
 Maintain current and accurate BOMs and routings.


 Effectively manage the Engineering Change Notice Process for your assigned areas or products through proper phasing of new or revised parts and managing the obsolescence of the old parts, while insuring continued high-quality levels and timely availability of the revised product.
 Actively participate in Team efforts by taking a leading role for Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities on your assigned Cell Management and Cite Teams in support of assigned goals. 

As a resource, help Natural Work Group Teams obtain their goals by providing technical assistance and leadership.
 Continually evaluate all processes and materials for possible quality improvements and reductions in cost.
 Fill in and provide back up for Unit Manager or Supervisor as needed to sustain quality and productivity levels.


 Perform all Job duties in accordance with Companies Code of Ethics to ensure the highest ethical dealings with employees, management, and vendors.
