Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Evening
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $18.50–$25.50 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care and support in a long-term care environment.

The CNA will assist residents with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, mobility, meals, comfort, and routine monitoring while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and overall well-being.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care.

  • Assist residents with:

    • Bathing

    • Toileting

    • Grooming

    • Dressing and undressing

    • Personal hygiene

  • Obtain and document residents' vital signs.

  • Provide psychosocial support and companionship.

  • Assist residents with meals, snacks, water, and nutritional supplements as appropriate.

  • Promote a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

  • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.

  • Use appropriate transfer techniques and equipment to promote resident and staff safety.

  • Perform range-of-motion and passive exercises as directed.

  • Observe residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to appropriate nursing staff.

  • Accurately document resident care, behaviors, and observations in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

  • Handle and dispose of linens, soiled clothing, and supplies appropriately.

  • Follow proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.

  • Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

  • Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

  • Participate in required training, in-services, meetings, and continuing education.

  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program approved by the applicable state and organization.

  • Current CNA certification/licensure as required by the state.

  • Ability to communicate and comprehend effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to accurately measure and understand quantities.

  • Ability to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation.

  • Ability to complete required training, in-services, and meetings.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and move throughout the work environment for extended periods.

  • Frequently communicate, observe, assess, and respond to resident needs.

  • Operate and use medical equipment and workplace tools.

  • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility.

  • Maintain appropriate body positioning while performing resident-care tasks.

  • Lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Perform duties requiring attention to detail and physical coordination.

  • Work effectively in an environment that may involve moderate noise.

Work Environment

  • Long-term care/residential healthcare setting.
