Location: Pali Mountain, Running Springs, CA

Compensation: $18-$20/hour or DOE

Position Summary

As a Prep Cook at Pali Mountain, you support the Head Cooks and Line Cooks by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient operation of a fast-paced kitchen that serves up to 1,000 guests daily. This role involves handling food prep tasks for large-scale meals, ensuring food safety standards, and adapting to different stations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, portioning, and marinating for large-scale meals.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation using the “CleanAsYou Go” method.
• Assistcooks and head cooks with daily kitchentasks asassigned.
• Properly handle and store food using FIFO standards and correct labeling procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions to management.
• Ensure safe food handling practices and prevent cross-contamination.
• Support efficiency and cleanliness in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
• Adapt to changing kitchen needs or station assignments as directed.
• Follow kitchen hygiene and safety protocols at all times.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with kitchen staff and supervisors

Qualifications

• Previouskitchen or food prep experience preferred but notrequired.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbsand stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, team-oriented kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take direction.
• Positive attitude, team player, and open to feedback.

Requirements

• Open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to report to work during all weather conditions, including snow and rain.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check andparticipatein camp orientation.
