Job Overview 

The Sales Associate plays a key role in connecting schools, corporations, families, and groups with our camp, retreat, and outdoor education programs. This role combines proactive outreach with a highly consultative approach, ensuring clients fully understand our offerings and receive solutions tailored to their goals. From first contact through program delivery and renewal, the Sales Associate builds strong relationships, manages customized proposals and contracts, and supports seamless program execution by collaborating with internal teams. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a client-first mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly while meeting sales targets in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Engagement & Needs Assessment 

  • Proactivelyidentifyand engage potential clients through targeted research, networking, and outreach, focusing on schools, corporations, families, and groups seeking camps, outdoor education, or retreats.
  • Educate clients on our offerings, ensuring they fully understand program details, benefits, and customization options through clear presentations, demos, and Q&A sessions.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients by understanding their goals, challenges, and priorities.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, site visits, and presentations to ensure clients fully understand program options.
  • Represent the company at events, trade shows, and virtual meetings to foster connections and generate leads while emphasizing client-centric solutions.

Customized Sales Process & Contract Management 

  • Achieve sales goals for yourbook of businesswhich will include new and renewal sales.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts that reflect each client’s unique requirements, adjusting terms and structures as needed.
  • Manage negotiations by adjusting proposals and contracts to align with client requirements, such asmodifyinggroup sizes, durations, activities, or pricing foroptimalfit.
  • Build strong rapport by actively listening to clients, uncovering their specific needs, goals, and challenges to recommend the most suitable programs.
  • Close deals with a consultative approach, addressing concerns, highlighting value, andfinalizingagreements that meet both client expectations and company targets.
  • Ensure all program details, pricing, and commitments are clearly understood and documented.

Account Management & Renewals 

  • Serve as the ongoing point of contact for assigned accounts,maintainingconsistent communication throughout the year.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and program performance to proactively address concerns and secure renewals.
  • Oversee renewals and upsell opportunities bymaintainingongoing relationships, gathering feedback, and proposing enhancements to encourage long-term partnerships.

Collaboration & Reporting 

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure the delivery of a seamless client experience from sales to program execution.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of client interactions, proposals, and agreements in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress, client feedback, and market trends to senior leadership.

Ideal Candidate 

  • 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in roles involving consultative selling for programs like camps, retreats, or educational services.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals through client engagement, needs assessment, and customized dealstructuring.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for active listening, empathy, and articulating complex program details in an accessible way.
  • Proficiencyin CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) and sales software, plus strong analytical abilities to interpret client data and adapt strategies.
  • Enthusiastic about outdoor experiences, with a client-first mindset and genuine passion for helping others achieve theirobjectivesthrough nature-based programs.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic team setting while managing multiple client interactions independently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for in-person client meetings, site visits, or events to deepen relationships andshowcaseour facilities.

Compensation and Benefits 

Salary: $45,000/year (non-exempt), plus a quarterly bonus plan of up to 100% of salary.
