Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Mechanics to join our manufacturing shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift.

Responsibilities: ● Efficiently construct and fabricate industrial HVAC units. This involves assembling, positioning, and connecting components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, ductwork, and thermostats according to specifications and blueprints. ● Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning systems promptly and effectively. This involves troubleshooting electrical components, identifying refrigerant leaks, repairing or replacing faulty parts such as motors or compressors, and recalibrating controls to restore functionality. ● Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of air conditioning systems. This includes cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting and replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and testing system controls.

Education Requirements/Qualifications: ● Minimum of a high school education or equivalent. ● Previous experience in a construction/fabrication environment. ● Previous experience as an HVAC technician or air conditioning mechanic preferred. ● Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems and components. ● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. ● Ability to use hand and power tools and to read a tape measure. ● Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Job Requirements/Special Skills: ● Ability to work independently and on a team ● Strong verbal communication skills ● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs ● Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time ● Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
