Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home, Inc. (OSLNH) is a state-of-the-art, 60-bed long-term care facility with a 12-bed memory care unit, proudly managed by Native American Health Management (NAHM). Oversight of the facility is provided by a dedicated three-person Board of Directors.

Job Description
The Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is seeking a reliable and compassionate AM Cook (Dietary) to prepare and serve nutritious meals for our residents. This position plays a vital role in supporting resident health, comfort, and dignity through quality food service in a long-term care setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines
Assist with food preparation for later meals as needed
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas
Comply with all dietary, infection control, and safety regulations
Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service
Respect resident preferences, cultural considerations, and speciality diets.
Qualifications
Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (healthcare or institutional setting a plus)
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting
