Position Summary
The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company’s Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Truck & Trailer Plating and Reporting Compliance.Â
Roles & Responsibilities
Complete Administration for:
- Title and plate new trucks and trailers
- Track and trace all plates and file replacements where applicable
- BMV renewal for non-commercial IN vehicles and maintain tracking
- Annual renewal compliance filings: 2290’s, IRP, SCAC, PUCO, CVOR, IFTA, UCR, Maine and KY
- File for lost/duplicate titles at the BMV
- Lein releases and review
- Update KY website with VIN and plate numbers- periodic review
- Research tolls and list vehicles/unit numbers
- Order permit books
- Work the 3rd party MSO and Bill of Sales
Oversee Rushville cleaning crew and approve timecards.
Manage team responsible for Accounts Receivable to ensure timely invoice processing, customer account reviews, monthly AR meeting, correspondence and month-end related items.
Manage team responsible for Accounts Payable to ensure timely invoice processing, vendor account reviews, correspondence and month-end related items.
Annual 1099 filings and retrieval of W9 from vendors.
Ensure SOP’s are adhered to and updated, when necessary, KPI’s to be developed.
Contribute to continual process improvement identification and procedures.
Ad hoc projects, analyses, reports, external audits and oversee future projects.
Qualification & EducationÂ
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5+ years experience in Accounting with AR/AP experience including staff supervision.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and knowledge of accounting principles, Microsoft software and ERP systems.
