The Process Operator will perform a variety of duties including but not limited preparing, mixing, batching, weights, preparing ingredients according to approved recipes and formulas in a timely manner, filling out all required Government and Company documentation, inspection of work environment including equipment adjustments as necessary, completing all required audits and tests according to company policy and procedure ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met.Â
Job Duties:Â
- Complete and return all required documentation (e.g., HACCP, SSOP, Usage, etc.)Â Â
- Inspect work environment for defects prior to startup (e.g., mixers, belts, v-mags, augers, cooling system, tanks etc.) ensuring proper notification upon discovery (e.g., Team Coordinators, Supervisor, Maintenance)Â
- Verify ingredients utilizing SAP.Â
- Safely utilizing PIT ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are metÂ
- Review consumptions of Process Orders to ensure all items and quantities received are correctÂ
- Perform viscosity and temperature checks and record the results adhering to company standardsÂ
- Ensure all changeover activities are complete including returning ingredients, disposing of trash, and cleaning and sanitizing equipmentÂ
- May perform other duties as assignedÂ
- Complete CIL/CL as assignedÂ
- Must be able to work in sanitation environment  Â
- Must be able to work around strong chemicals aromas Â
- Wear PPE such as rubber gloves, rubber boots, bump hat, glasses, waterproof uniform, ex.  Â
- Must be able to scrub by hand  Â
- Ability to use high pressure hosesÂ

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Â
- Knowledge of GMP’s and food allergensÂ
- Ability to be HACCP Certified, PIT Certified, Chemical Certified, Confined Space Certified, and LOTO CertifiedÂ
- Ability to operate computerÂ
- Ability to identify Critical Control Points (CCP)Â
- Ability to read a thermometer and metal detector checkÂ
- Knowledge of the 5S conceptÂ
- Ability to work with chicken products in addition to many other ingredients and allergensÂ
Qualifications:Â
- Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for positionÂ
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English written instructionsÂ
- Excellent communication skillsÂ
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyÂ
- Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levelsÂ
- Intermediate math skillsÂ
- Ability to complete work requests for the correction of defects and improvementsÂ
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. repetitivelyÂ
- Must be able to work in cold environment below 50 degreesÂ
- Must have 1 year of continuous work history with no break in the past 12 monthsÂ
- At least 6 months Manufacturing experience preferredÂ
