Location: Russellville Hospital The Staff Pad has partnered with Russellville Hospital to find a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Circulator RN to join their Surgical Services team. This role offers a Day Shift schedule with on-call rotation, providing the opportunity to deliver exceptional perioperative care while supporting a collaborative surgical environment. As an RN Circulator, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care throughout all phases of surgery—from pre-op to post-op. You’ll ensure proper aseptic technique, maintain surgical equipment and instruments, and serve as a key advocate for patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients of all ages. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Maintain and monitor sterile fields, instruments, and surgical supplies. Assist anesthesia and surgical teams before, during, and after procedures. Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts in accordance with AORN standards. Handle and label surgical specimens accurately. Support surgeon preferences and maintain up-to-date preference cards. Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff and nursing students. Adhere to all infection control and patient safety protocols. Licensure: Current RN license with the Alabama Board of Nursing (or compact equivalent). Certifications: BLS required; must complete hospital-based ACLS and PALS. Experience: Minimum 3 months of nursing experience preferred; OR experience strongly preferred. Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.
