Job Summary- Analyze and improve extrusion processes to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Develop and implement process control strategies for automated systems including PLCs, robotics, and material handling equipment
- Collaborate with automation engineers and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and enhance automated sytems.
- Support integration of new technologies and equipment, including commissioning and validation.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce cycle times, improve OEE, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process related issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data analytics to drive decision making.
- Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, trials, and standard operation process.
- Work closely with quality, maintenance, production, and safety teams to ensure alignment on process goals.
- Train operators and technicians on new processes and equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (or related field).
- 3+years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aluminum extrusion or metal processing.
- Strong understanding of automated manufacturing systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Experience with Lean, Sis Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with extrusion press operations and die design desired.
