Responsibilities:Â
Recruit prospective high schools students via high school visits, college fairs, text message, phone calls, e-mail correspondence, etc. Â
Travel to various recruiting events, that include overnight travel and some weekends (valid driver’s license required).Â
Meet with prospective freshman and their families.Â
Know Tech’s admission requirements, what scholarship opportunities are available for students, what majors are housed in each college, and which employers and graduate schools are recruiting our students.Â
Assist with visit opportunities held on some Saturday’s throughout the year.Â
Plan and execute events within your territory which include but are not limited to counselor breakfast(s), yield event(s), social(s), and other counselor trips to campus. Â
Other duties as assigned.Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
Bachelor’s degree requiredÂ
Previous experience in college admissions and recruiting Â
Excellent communication skills and extremely detail-orientedÂ
Strong customer service and people skillsÂ
Demonstrated interpersonal and team-work skillsÂ
Demonstrated proficiency and love of technology; extensive use of Excel, Word, and other campus computing systems (SLATE or other CRM)Â
Familiarity with higher education desirableÂ
Ability to work some evenings and weekendsÂ
Ability to drive to work independently and take initiativeÂ
