Our Operating Room is a collaborative, fast-paced environment with five ORs supporting a wide range of surgical services, primarily orthopedic and general surgery, with some OB/GYN procedures. Three ORs run full time, and team members may also float to Endoscopy, offering variety and the opportunity to grow within perioperative care. Rutherford Regional recently expanded access to advanced surgical care with the addition of the da Vinci Surgical System, a robotic-assisted technology designed to support minimally invasive procedures with enhanced precision. This investment reflects our commitment to providing innovative surgical care close to home while creating an environment where skilled nurses can be part of meaningful growth and high-quality patient outcomes.

How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:Â
• Performs thorough pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operative assessments to ensure safe patient careÂ
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflowÂ
• Provides age‑ and procedure‑appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative processÂ
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical recordÂ
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high‑quality outcomes
What we’re looking forÂ
• Current North Carolina or compact state RN license requiredÂ
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hireÂ
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hireÂ
• Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferredÂ
• One year of Operating Room RN experience preferred; new‑to‑OR candidates may be considered based on overall experience
