Job DetailsJob Location: Rutland Vermont - Rutland, VT 05701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.90 - $22.38 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftBand V Shipping Lead Plywood Division, 1st Shift   POSITION SUMMARY: The Area Lead will assure that the area meets or exceeds area metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture (including 6S audits). Further responsibilities include planning, organizing, and monitoring the packaging and shipping of all materials and products from the WR Assembly building. The Area Lead will also ensure efficient and consistent operation to accurately distribute customer orders and meet shipping requirements/dates/times, as well as coordinate activities of department employees and monitor their work for preparing and expediting shipments.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates and manages Maestro functionality for shipping Trains and assists EO with Maestro functionality Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work well with others – including the ability to effectively handle crucial conversations in a timely manner Self-motivated with initiative to follow through. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
