Job DetailsJob Location: Rutland Vermont - Rutland, VT 05701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.75 - $20.78 HourlyJob Shift: 2nd ShiftBolt Division Machine Operator Shift 2: 3pm-11pm POSITION SUMMARY: The Band III Machine Operator – 2nd shift – will set up, operate, trouble shoot, and maintain bolt making equipment.   Employee Owners at Carris enjoy: A Lucrative Employee Stock Ownership Plan Annual Profit Sharing Fantastic Benefits- Including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Weekly payroll Discounted company branded employee gear and other perks Regular, year-round schedules Paid holidays ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •           Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance •           Able to read a micrometer and scale •           Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals •           Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license •           Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program •           Maintain clean and orderly work areas •           Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills •           All other duties as required QualificationsEducation / Experience: Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred General knowledge of small hand tools. Forklift experience/license preferred High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing   Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations Proficiency in reading a tape measure Occasional lifting may be required
