Job Description: 

Liquid Personnel is seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide a wide range of interventions for both adults and children for its client located in Rutland. The role is focused on enabling service users to maintain independence and safety in their own homes, supporting them to live life to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess adults and children with disabilities, arranging the provision of equipment and adaptations (including major adaptations where necessary) to maximise independence and safety.
  • Deliver DFG assessments – experience and knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants is essential.
  •  193526Undertake complex risk assessments for moving and handling, and develop effective management plans.
  • Involve service users and carers in assessments, support planning, and accessing Direct Payments.
  • Identify innovative solutions including assistive technologies, providing demonstrations and ensuring safe use.
  • Maintain accurate case records – completing timely assessments, monitoring/reviewing support plans, and updating systems to support service delivery and data collection.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider health and social care professionals to deliver seamless support.
  • Engage in professional development and actively contribute to developments within Adult Social Care.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working across adults and/or children’s services.
  • Strong knowledge of DFG assessments and major adaptations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
