Job DetailsJob Location: Rutland Vermont - Rutland, VT 05701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $17.00 - $17.75 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftReel Assembler/Assembly Team, Shift 1 Shift 1: 7AM-3PM Hiring minimum is $17 per hour Carris Reels is seeking quality-minded, dependable individuals to join our talented team of Employee Owners at our West Rutland Assembly Division- which has Support/Prep, Shipping, Tube Making, and Assembly departments. These key positions require working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling wood reels for the wire and cable industry. Long periods of standing, attention to safe practices, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a team setting are also required. Interpersonal and group communications skills are necessary Be familiar with, and use, measuring tools. Must be able to perform simple shop math Build wood reels using hand and pneumatic tools Must be able to read and interpret customer spec cards and maintain production flow Clean and maintain the work area Follow prescribed safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment Report defective materials, or questionable conditions, to the department supervisor Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly lift and/move materials or finished product up to 50 pounds Required to stand, bend, lift arms, and reach.
