Acadia is seeking a Director, Leasing to join their team to develop and execute a leasing plan for properties in its suburban market portfolio. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, leveraging an established network of retailer and brokerage relationships, and serve as Acadia’s leasing presence in their markets.


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Leverage an established network of national and key regional retailer relationships to drive deal flow; identify, cultivate, and expand strategic partnerships across the suburban platform.
  • Qualify prospective tenants by analyzing financials, business plans and references; exercise judgement on credit, merchandising fit, and long-term tenancy quality.
  • Own deals end-to-end, from origination through lease execution.
  • Lead lease negotiation directly. Negotiate LOI’s, evaluate deal economics, and coordinate with legal and other departments.
  • Research competitive market information and maintain an understanding of market dynamics and trends. Closely monitor market conditions (i.e. occupancy, new vacancies, rents).
  • Provide strategic input to senior leadership on acquisition targets, tenant repositioning, and market and retailer trends.
  • Work with Director of Marketing to maximize company’s participation in all industry-related events (i.e. ICSC conventions) and to develop appropriate marketing materials

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ minimum years of in-house shopping center leasing experience.
  • Established relationships with national and regional retailers and the brokerage community.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, and to source structure and close deals.
  • Ability to travel to properties as needed


The base salary compensation range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $180,000. 


Employees may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
