Grooming Assistant

Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Grooming Assistant to join our caring and dedicated team. This role plays an important part in supporting our grooming department and ensuring pets feel clean, comfortable, and safe throughout their grooming experience.

Salary: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position. Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 5:30 pm. No weekend hours!

Key Responsibilities: 

• Bathing and drying dogs
• Nail trims
• Teeth brushing
• Ear cleaning
• Brushing and basic coat care
• Assisting groomer as needed and maintaining a clean work area
• Ensuring pets are handled calmly and safely at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with dogs and cats required
• Grooming experience is a plus
• Comfort handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions
