- $118,000 to $145,000+ Base Salary, negotiable dependent on experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new breast surgery physician assistant or nurse practitioner will work in a collaborative environment with an established, integrated care team of physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and non-clinical support staff.
Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. Â This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- evaluation and counseling of new patients with breast cancer
- evaluation and counseling of new patients with benign breast concerns
- long-term evaluation and monitoring of patients successfully treated for breast cancer
- assist in the post-operative care of patients
- evaluation and monitoring of patients at high risk of developing breast cancer
- genetic counseling
Providers see a variable (and always manageable) number of patients per day, based upon needs and types of appointments scheduled.
The office boasts a robust list of services, ensuring they’re able to effectively treat all breast surgery needs.
The office uses the AthenaHealth EHR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP or PA license
- board certification (PA-C, FNP, etc.)
- DEA
- 1+ year advanced practice experience in breast surgery strongly preferred
- previous RN or similar experience in a relevant field may be considered
- genetic counseling experience preferred but not required; training provided
