Biohazard Technician I Job Summary
As a Biohazard Technician I at Steri-Clean Sacramento, you'll respond to biohazard, trauma, hoarding, and extreme cleaning scenes. You will be doing work that genuinely helps people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. You'll work to safely clean, remediate, and restore residential and commercial properties, following strict safety protocols and company procedures from start to finish.

This is a physically demanding role that requires emotional maturity and a strong work ethic. No prior industry experience is required — we provide full training. Previous experience in cleaning, restoration, moving, or construction is a plus.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours:
  • Full-Time position, hours may vary based on scheduled jobs 
  • Must be available Monday through Friday 7am to 7pm
  • Must be able to be on call 2 weekends per month and 2-3 nights per week 
Responsibilities 
  • Respond quickly to biohazard, trauma, unattended death, and hoarding remediation calls, including after-hours and on-call situations
  • Work independently on assigned jobs when directed 
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients in sensitive situations 
  • Perform detailed cleaning, disinfection, and restoration duties in accordance with company protocols and industry standards
  • Follow all company policies, exposure control plans, and operational procedures including safe handling of biohazardous materials
  • Complete thorough site documentation and photo reports
  • Clean and organize vehicles, tools and equipment 
  • Apply knowledge of basic tools and equipment to safely and effectively complete job tasks

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in construction or restoration preferred
  • Must have some experience with power tools (on the job training will be provided)  
  • Must be able to work in a respirator and full PPE for long periods 
  • Must live within 30 minutes of our office (Roseville Road & Myrtle Ave, North Highlands 95660)
  • Must be 18 years of age 
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to our office (work vehicles provided)
  • Must have working cell phone
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer drug screening in accordance with California law.
  • Must have valid California driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). An MVR check will be conducted, with employment contingent on meeting company driving standards for operation of company vehicles. 
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer background check. Conviction histories that pose a direct risk to clients or property may result in disqualification, in accordance with California law.
