Business Developer - Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary

The Business Developer / Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting auction revenue growth through outbound sales efforts and customer relationship management. This role focuses on prospecting potential sellers, maintaining client relationships and guiding customers through the auction process to drive consignments and buyer participation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through outbound calls, emails and follow-up communication
  • Build relationships with contractors, fleet owners, dealerships and equipment sellers
  • Promote auction services and explain auction timelines and selling processes to customers
  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing customers to encourage repeat business
  • Track sales activities, leads and customer interactions in company systems or CRM
  • Assist customers with consignment intake and required documentation
  • Coordinate with operations and yard teams to ensure assets are properly prepared for auction
  • Meet or exceed established sales activity and performance goals
  • Provide professional customer service before, during and after auction events

Qualifications

  • Previous inside sales, business development or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable making outbound sales calls and developing new client relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and experience with CRM or sales software preferred
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
