Supports the system’s Finance strategic objectives by leading complex financial analysis, operational performance evaluations, and long-term financial planning initiatives. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, clinical leadership, and system finance teams to analyze healthcare supply spend, evaluate cost reduction opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.The Financial Analyst IV will play a key role in evaluating contract savings, benchmarking supply costs, and researching clinical utilization trends to support financial decision-making for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform complex financial analysis to support Supply Chain cost management and savings initiatives.
• Analyze and monitor medical and pharmacy supply spend across facilities and service lines.
• Evaluate contract-negotiated savings and vendor agreements, ensuring financial benefits are accurately reflected in financial results.
• Research and explain supply cost variances by analyzing utilization trends, clinical procedures, and contract pricing.
• Monitor spend in supply-intensive and emerging procedure areas, identifying potential financial risks or opportunities.
• Develop financial models and reports supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Consolidate and analyze large datasets from multiple systems and data sources.
• Produce clear financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and operational partners.
• Partner with Supply Chain, clinical teams, and finance leadership to translate financial findings into actionable insights.
• Support benchmarking analysis and financial comparisons across facilities, markets, and national healthcare datasets.
Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

- Strong understanding of healthcare financial metrics including:
- CMI
- MSDRGs
- tRVUs
- Supply chain healthcare KPIs
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, hospital operations, and supply cost drivers.
- Strong analytical ability to evaluate contract savings, pricing changes, and utilization trends.
- Experience analyzing medical supply and pharmacy spend.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Excel (advanced modeling, large data sets, pivot tables)
- SQL
- Ability to combine and analyze multiple complex data sources.
- Ability to present complex financial findings using charts, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information.

Pay Range is $114,774.40 to $172,161.60 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
