Join Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA) as a Grant & Contract Specialist, a key role responsible for managing grants and contracts, coordinating proposal development, and supporting communications that highlight YCCA's impact in the community.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage complex funding requirements while keeping projects organized, compliant, and moving forward. You will work closely with program managers, finance staff, and leadership to ensure grant deliverables, reporting, and budgets stay on track while helping identify new funding opportunities that support YCCA's mission of strengthening families.

In addition to grant management, this role supports organizational communications and fundraising initiatives by helping translate program outcomes into compelling stories for newsletters, social media, and donor engagement.

  • Maintain organized grant records, proposal files, and contract documentation across shared systems and databases
  • Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate funders
  • Coordinate proposal development including timelines, attachments, exhibits, and budgets
  • Collaborate with program managers, finance staff, and leadership to prepare strong, data-driven proposals
  • Monitor grant deliverables, reporting schedules, and compliance requirements
  • Work with the Finance Department to track budgets and prepare invoices and financial reports
  • Prepare grant updates and summaries for organizational leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Support program managers in understanding contract deliverables and tracking program outcomes
  • Serve as liaison between funders, community partners, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and accountability

  • Help produce the organization's monthly newsletter
  • Collect impact stories, testimonials, and program highlights for communications and grant reporting
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns including Giving Tuesday, Big Day of Giving, and End-of-Year Giving
  • Assist with sponsorship outreach and coordination for YCCA community and fundraising events
  • Help manage logistics, materials, and communications related to events
