Job Description:

NOW HIRING: Onboarding Coordinator

Compensation: $28.00-$31.25

Job Overview

The Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and communication of onboarding processes with management, associated departments, and new hires. This role will lead primary communications and processes of new hire onboarding, including but not limited to equipment ordering, reporting, and training plan preparation.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through to Day 1/Week 1 of new hire onboarding including background and drug screening, driver approvals, new hire orientations, and cross-departmental communication.

  • Connect with local HR, Talent Acquisition, IT, and management to ensure schedule alignment and equipment receipt.

  • Monitor onboarding checklists and/or new hire onboarding plan per hire.

  • Track onboarding readiness and escalate potential delays or concerns to supervisor.

  • Maintain onboarding trackers, reports, and status updates.

  • Provide onboarding reporting and additional ad-hoc reporting.

  • Follow-up communication post-onboarding with new hires.

  • Assist with follow-up communication of new hire training plans with management; work with hiring manager to assure training plan.

  • Assist with and take lead on projects, as needed.

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. 

Education and/or Experience

2-3 years of experience in onboarding, HR compliance, project management, office administration, human resources, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline preferred.

An equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience may be considered in lieu of the above qualifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Certificates in Human Resources, Project Management, or Business Administration/Management preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments

Strong organizational and project management skills

High attention to detail with a focus on HR compliance

Proficient in Microsoft Suite, preferably Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
