The ORGANIZATION

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 800+ individuals working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.


COMPENSATION

The below is dependent upon experience and education.

  • Psychologist $55.04 - $63.73

The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.


THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY

ACRC is seeking a Psychologist at the Sacramento Office location to provide psychological evaluations for developmental disabilities (DD); consult with vendored psychologists, Regional Center Intake and Early Start staff, Service Coordinators, and managers on issues relating to assessment, cognitive functioning, Autism, mental health, and differential diagnosis; perform comprehensive chart reviews related to establishing regional center eligibility; participate on various internal committees and workgroups to provide consultation and training on related DD and mental health issues; occasionally provide court testimony in eligibility appeal cases; occasionally provide internal and external outreach presentations and trainings related to regional center eligibility and developmental disabilities; and maintain all required records in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and ACRC policies.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: PhD or PsyD in Psychology; California license as a Psychologist; substantial training and professional experience in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and writing psychological reports; excellent writing skills; knowledge of developmental disabilities, administration and interpretation of psychological tests and related statistics, development across the lifespan, clinical psychology, differential diagnosis and clinical formulation; and strong analytical and problem-solving ability, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
