You will lead the technical design, development, integration, and implementation of a custom .NET application hosted in AWS for the California Air Resources Board. You will combine hands-on development expertise with daily leadership of the development team, coding standards, and delivery quality. Your guidance will support a complex enterprise solution involving multiple databases, interfaces, APIs, and network components.

This is an RFP proposal-contingent opportunity to be awarded late Fall. US Citizen, Green Card or C2C 

WORKSITE: Remote - United States; California residency is not required

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pacific Time; some travel may be required around releases or major project milestones

PAY RATE: $105.00-$115.00/hour W2

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Oversee daily technical operations and coordinate software-development team activities.

Establish and enforce software development best practices, coding standards, code review expectations, and technical documentation.

Lead the technical design and hands-on development of custom .NET solutions in AWS.

Coordinate development involving multiple databases, interfaces, APIs, integrations, and network components.

Resolve complex technical issues and collaborate with architecture, QA, infrastructure, business analysis, and project-management teams.

Mentor developers and support DevOps, CI/CD, release readiness, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Five or more years of experience serving as a Lead Developer, including at least one completed IT project valued at $2 million or more.

Within the required experience, at least three years as a Lead Developer on one or more IT projects valued at $2 million or more overseeing daily technical operations, implementing development best practices, establishing or enforcing coding standards, leading team activities, coordinating developers, and resolving technical issues.

Within the required experience, at least three years as a Lead Developer on one or more IT projects valued at $2 million or more involving custom .NET development and the development of solutions in AWS.

Hands-on experience with multiple databases, multiple interfaces, APIs, integrations, and network components within qualifying enterprise IT projects.

Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, troubleshooting, code review, communication, and full software-development lifecycle capabilities; Agile or Scrum experience is preferred.

Relevant computer science, information technology, or engineering education and AWS or Microsoft technical certifications are preferred. You must be able to work Pacific Time hours, disclose travel limitations, and document qualifying project values, dates, completion status, technologies, and responsibilities.
