The Opportunity

As the Resource Support Assistant, you will provide support to a high performing team of attorneys and staff. You will report to the Office Administrator and work closely with other teams to provide an integrated range of service, providing customer-focused, effective support on a variety of tasks.


The Day-To-Day

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

 

  • Download and save court ECF Filings using firm naming conventions
  • Assist with various administrative projects including uploading and saving documents in electronic document management system.
  • Convert documents, replace text, run document comparisons
  • Assist with attorney time entry, check requests, and conflicts/new matter intake.
  • Handle attorney travel arrangements.
  • Assist attorneys with first draft of billing edits to ensure compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Maintain physical and electronic records using IRM.
  • Manage case records, including organizing, indexing and compiling documents for print records and electronic databases
  • Review, organize and help prepare discovery documents for use at depositions, mediations and hearings, and to provide to opposing parties
  • Conduct research about people, companies, law firms, emerging legal issues, court records, and news publications
  • Handle bates labeling, bates keys, and related tasks; help manage voluminous client documents.
  • Provide back-up coverage for Office Services and Reception, and other departments as requested
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as requested

You Have

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality of finished product
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, internal and external resources)
  • Strong customer service orientation

Location Specific Language

The salary range for this role is $53,000 to $63,000 annually, which is based on a 40-hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Sacramento. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
