Job Overview

The Senior Integration Engineer is a highly experienced, autonomous technical leader responsible for designing, building, and supporting complex enterprise integrations, data pipelines, and system-to-system solutions across the organization. This role serves as a technical "Swiss‑army knife"—someone with deep hands-on experience across software engineering, data engineering, and enterprise integrations.
This position partners closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. The Senior Integration Engineer operates with minimal oversight, owning solutions end
‑to‑end—from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and long‑term support.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex integrations between ERP systems, HRIS platforms (including Workday), and third-party applications.

  • Build and support API-based, event-driven, file-based, and middleware integrations to ensure seamless data flow across systems.

  • Manage all aspects of Workday integrations, including inbound and outbound processes using APIs, EIBs, Studio, and RaaS.

  • Develop and deliver on-demand SQL query reports to support business analytics and ad-hoc data requests.

  • Quickly transition between multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effortlessly script code in Python, Java, or other relevant languages to automate processes and solve technical challenges.

  • Debug complex integration issues by viewing logs, analyzing errors, and identifying root causes.
     

Software, Data, Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Develop backend services and ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and/or Java within Azure environments

  • Work extensively with relational databases, demonstrating advanced SQL expertise.

  • Build and deploy Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Functions, cloud-native workloads, and data warehousing platforms.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

10+ years of hands-on software development experience.

4+ years of experience mentoring engineers.

Strong background in programming fundamentals, ERP, Workday, ETL, API, and Azure integrations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or Java

Understanding of DevOps tools and best practices
