Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Stationary Engineer, you will be a central figure responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our facility's critical mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring continuous functionality for all building occupants. You will play a vital role in maintaining a stable and comfortable environment while optimizing energy and system reliability.Every day, you will expertly monitor, operate, and troubleshoot complex HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and power generation systems, performing meticulous preventive maintenance and repairs. You will also maintain precise logs, respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, and collaborate with other facilities personnel to ensure all infrastructure operates at peak efficiency.To be successful in this role, you will combine a valid Stationary Engineer license, extensive experience in operating and maintaining large-scale building systems, and a profound understanding of MEP principles. You will demonstrate exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to safety, and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.

  • Completes preventative maintenance work orders per standard indicated on work order.
  • Takes readings and makes mechanical rounds checks within time frame. Reports any discrepancies immediately to supervisor.
  • Demonstrates and exercises the necessary skills to operate and maintain all related boiler operations and equipment, including fuel switching.
  • Responds and performs appropriately to emergency situations as they occur. Demonstrates and exercises appropriate actions when required to adhere to the sterile dress codes in related areas.
  • Demonstrates and exercises the necessary skills to properly operate and maintain all related HVAC equipment.
  • Consistently practices the safe operation of equipment and uses all safety equipment as appropriate.

  • 4 years overall Related field or an equivalent combinationof education and experience.
  • Driver's License: CA
  • Universal CFC Certification/REFRIG Certification

     

Preferred

  • Associates Of Science MechanicalElectrical Technology or related field and 2 years hospital experience, upon hire
