Touchstone Brewing: Beertender at Pintworks Brewpub

About the Role

As a Beer Tender (FOH) for Touchstone Brewing Company, you will not just be pouring beers for our guests, but representing our company as an ambassador.  Educating our customers, and providing great service are just the beginning.  Although the main responsibility will be serving beers and keeping the tavern and beer garden clean and safe, there may also be opportunities for assistance with beer festivals and events, as well as the possibility to help out with producing our beers!

Beer Tenders will report to the Pub Manager.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Must possess: Front of House (FOH)  a passion for craft beer, and a desire to learn more!
• Cash & POS system management 
• Effective time management and organization
• Customer service & customer management skills
• Energetic, and able to adapt quickly to change
• Ability to describe & evaluate characteristics of beer styles
• Ability to present information to groups of various sizes and various levels of craft beer knowledge

Requirements & Education

• Experience in hospitality or customer service
• RBS Certified (could be completed post hiring)
• You must be at least 21 years old for this position
• If selected, you may be required to pass a background check

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely lift 50lbs
• Ability to safely maneuver 160lb kegs
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Occasional exposure to heat and cold
• Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require. 
• Noise level, which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs. 

Hours

• This is a per diem position, there are no set or guaranteed hours
• Flexible hours; we are open evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Travel

• Travel to beer festivals may be required, please have a valid driver’s license

Compensation

This is a Part-time position. Starting Pay is $23.00/hour. Beertender/Front of House individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
