About the Role:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within local school districts throughout the Greater Sacramento region. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with district staff to implement IEPs, support classroom instruction, and promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
We are also welcoming qualified substitute teachers who are interested in flexible opportunities to support special education classrooms on an as-needed basis. Whether full-time or substitute, this role offers meaningful, student-centered work in a collaborative school environment.

What You'll Do:
· Implement IEP goals through small group and individualized instruction
· Support general education curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications
· Assist with classroom behavior management using PBIS strategies
· Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
· Maintain accurate documentation and support IEP compliance
· Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
· Communicate regularly with families and school staff
· Support students with assistive technology and communication tools as needed
Must Have:
· State-specific Department of Education certification or eligibility (or substitute teaching permit for substitute roles)
· Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
· DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as required by the state
Preferred:
· Experience working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
· Familiarity with classroom behavior strategies and interventions
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Experience in school-based settings or special education environments
· Knowledge of IEP systems (e.g., IEPpro)
