  • 24/7 emergency/specialty hospital, custom-designed 27,000 sq ft building
  • Specialty services include Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Surgery, Neurology, Medical & Radiation Oncology, and Emergency/Critical Care.
  • 15 exam rooms, 6 surgical suites, ER surgical room, 64-slice Toshiba CT with automatic injector, 1.5 Tesla MRI, linear accelerator
  • Endoscopic, laparoscopic and thorascopic instrumentation, multiple ultrasounds including a color flow Doppler, O2 cages, two digital radiology suites and a C-arm
  • Complete in-house lab, Abaxis CBC, PT/PTT, chemistry machines, Heska EPOC, I-stat and colloid osmometer 
  • Strong rotating internship program with daily rounds, teaching environment
  • Hiking, mountain biking, water sports, skiing, wine tasting, and camping
  • Access to a network of specialists within VCA

Schedule

  • Overnight Emergency shifts with Full or Part Time availability

Compensation

  • Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $180-$200k.
  • This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in California, or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
