We’re seeking a diligent and skilled Material Prep and Handling Specialist to join our team to ensure the seamless flow and quality of materials essential for our operations.

About the Role
 At Open Loop Energy, this role is all about keeping work moving. As a Material Prep & Handling Specialist, you’ll be part of the team that makes sure materials are ready, organized, and in the right place at the right time. From the moment materials arrive to the point when finished parts are shipped out, you help keep the process running smoothly.

 

Pay
 $16–$22 per hour (based on experience)

 

What You’ll Do
 In a typical day, you might unload incoming materials, check that everything is correct, and organize it so the team can easily find what they need. You’ll prepare materials by measuring, cutting, and labeling them for different jobs. You’ll also move parts around the shop using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided if needed).

As jobs are completed, you’ll help package and prepare items for shipment. You’ll keep track of materials, notice when supplies are running low, and help maintain a clean and safe workspace for everyone. This role may also include lifting materials up to 50 lbs and performing other duties as assigned to support the team.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone dependable who shows up ready to work 
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical tasks (including lifting up to 50 lbs) 
  • Pays attention to detail and follows instructions 
  • Willing to learn tools, equipment, and processes 
  • Works well with others and communicates clearly 

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Any experience in a warehouse, shop, or labor role 
  • Forklift experience or certification
