This position supports the Shop Manager and assumes leadership responsibilities in their absence. The ASM is responsible for overseeing team performance, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring all technician duties are performed efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Act as the Shop Manager when they are unavailable. Supervise shop floor operations, ensuring technicians are properly assigned and vehicles are serviced thoroughly. Perform opening and closing procedures. Monitor and adjust inventory levels as needed. Train and develop team members to ensure consistent performance and growth. Serve as a role model for all employees, promoting a positive and professional work environment. Hold team members accountable to company standards and expectations. Check in with customers before they leave to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Technical Duties Drain motor oil, replace oil filters, and grease chassis fittings. Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure. Inspect and top off vehicle fluids. Assist customers in selecting oil types and additional services. Deliver excellent customer service both verbally and in writing. Process payments for services rendered. Perform coolant exchanges and fill services. Restock and maintain inventory on the shop floor. Maintain the cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathrooms. Any and all other assigned duties QualificationsQualifications & Requirements Ability to learn and retain detailed product and service knowledge. Must be able to maneuver in and out of a 3-foot deep pit safely. Capable of walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and performing physical tasks for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (hot/cold). Strong awareness of surroundings and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills with the public. Reliable transportation is required.
