Description

This position is responsible for responding to after hour hotline calls providing crisis intervention, support and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. The Advocate will respond to requests for shelter, as well as respond to any after hour shelter emergencies, law enforcement and hospital calls and requests for protection orders. The Advocate will alternate weeks and be paid an hourly wage for any calls and call outs.

Requirements

A High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred. Experience in crisis intervention, advocacy, or working with survivors of domestic violence is highly desirable. Must possess excellent organizational, crisis intervention skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills while promoting the core values of the organization. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable transportation is necessary.
