Title: Wiring Technician

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-Time-Hourly

About the Job

As a Wiring Technician at Senergy, you’ll go beyond just wire prep—you’ll own the complete electrical build of our energy systems. You’ll wire up power distribution enclosures, route cables inside control boxes, and make final terminations that bring our hybrid power products to life. This is precision electrical work and hands-on power systems wiring inside enclosures that combines schematics, hand tools, and critical thinking for real-world energy deployments.

Who You Are

You’re detail-oriented, steady-handed, and take pride in wiring neat, functional  electrical assemblies that pass inspection the first time. You’re a builder, not just a technician. Reading a schematic doesn’t faze you—you know how to turn a diagram into something real, and you’re comfortable working with a variety of tools and components. Whether you're terminating conductors inside a junction box or installing relays and DIN-rail components, you're organized, focused, and methodical, keeping future maintenance on the product in mind. You’ve spent time in production environments and understand the pace, the precision, and the importance of doing things right. Whether you’re performing a wiring task or helping a teammate troubleshoot their work, you show up ready to do solid, thoughtful work every day. If you've ever said, “This panel should be beautiful and bulletproof,” you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Box Build Wiring: Route and terminate wires inside system enclosures and control boxes to match schematics and mechanical layout.
  • Schematic Translation: Interpret complex electrical schematics, diagrams, and assembly drawing specifications, applying them in physical builds—both wiring and component placement.
  • Wire Preparation: Prepare wires for installation using pneumatic and manual tools to IPC standards.
  • Component Assembly: Position, install, and connect electrical parts, wires, and components to facilitate assembly instructions according to Engineering and IPC standards.
  • Tool Operation: Safely and effectively use hand tools (strippers, crimpers, torque wrenches), multimeters, heat guns, standing power tools, and other production equipment.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of shop travelers, redline schematics, and maintain build records as needed.
  • Quality Checks: Perform visual, dimensional inspection, continuity checks, torque critical connections, and verify all terminations to confirm compliance with standards, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineers, production leads, and quality to review work, resolve issues, and improve build processes.
  • Cross-Functional Assembly: Perform a variety of tasks across cable assembly, mechanical builds, and wiring—based on production priorities and team needs.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to team learning by sharing techniques and supporting training initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify, suggest, and support process improvements that enhance workflow, consistency, and quality.
  • Travel may be required as assigned to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical school training preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of electrical wiring experience, especially in power systems, control panels, or box builds.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of hand-tools (e.g., measuring equipment, crimpers). Proven ability to read and follow complex electrical schematics and assembly instructions. Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with IPC-620 Class 3 standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of power systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature variations.
