Overall Mission / Responsibility

The Powder Coating Application Field Specialist is responsible for providing sales support through troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Sales Support

  Co-ordination of AFS strategies to further develop ATG’s

  Actively participate in development of key accounts and new business

  Provides guidance and technical support to sales force

  Conducts training

  Troubleshoots technical problems

  Knowledge Building

  Maintains knowledge of current technical application and chemistry formulation trends

  Participates in external events as required

  Actively works to understand customer application requirements based on the knowledge of substrates, cleaning, pretreatment, application and cure but not limited to the chemical make-up, color technology and equipment set up and operation.

  Testing and Audits

  Provide system testing and audits of customer’s lines using testing equipment

  Conducts line trial analysis

  Monitor the quality and process of new product test runs

  Support of New Product Development

  Support the introduction of new products

  Assist in the development of new powder coating systems

  Prove feedback on opportunities for laboratory product and process improvement

  Interact with co-workers, peers and supervisor in a constructive, productive and cooperative manner

  Consider the safety and well-being of yourself and others

  Driving Full Responsibility and Advice Process throughout the organization

  Follow and Live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles.

  Follow the requirements for ISO 14001 and 9001 systems

  Support and promote “TIGER’s Great Place to Work” environment as per TIGER's behavioral competencies and code of conduct

Qualifications

Education

• College Degree and/or 5+ years of technical support with proven success record

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in English (written and oral)
• 5 + years in technical application and/or chemistry formulation
• 5 + years in coating industry is preferred 
• Worked with testing devices
• Multi-cultural (global environment) is preferred 
• Driven for results and self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills 
• Microsoft Office Proficient 
• Spanish is an asset 

Other Requirements

• Travel Required: US, Mexico, Canada & Europe
