This role is responsible for establishing data governance, defining data  warehousing strategy, and creating a roadmap that transforms disparate data sources into a unified,  well-managed asset. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Data Strategy and Governance •  Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards,  and procedures for effective data management •  Establish data stewardship models and assign roles and responsibilities for data ownership  across business units •  Create and enforce policies for data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability  of data assets •  Define data sharing rules and access controls appropriate for a regulated financial  institution Data Architecture and Warehousing •  Define and execute data warehousing strategy to centralize data from disparate source  systems •  Oversee data integration initiatives, establishing processes to consolidate and correlate data  with appropriate validation •  Evaluate and recommend data platform technologies aligned with organizational needs and existing  infrastructure •  Design data delivery mechanisms that provide stakeholders with timely, accurate, and actionable  information Program Management •  Create and maintain a comprehensive data inventory across all business units, systems, and  vendor relationships •  Develop a multi-year roadmap for data initiatives with clear milestones, resource requirements,  and success metrics •  Assess existing tools and technologies across business units, identifying opportunities for  optimization or consolidation •  Manage relationships with external partners, including technology vendors and consulting  firms •  Establish and chair data governance committees or working groups as appropriate Compliance and Security •  Ensure data management practices comply with applicable banking regulations, including  the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and BSA/AML requirements •  Implement data security controls and procedures to protect sensitive customer and organizational  information •  Partner with compliance, risk, and IT teams to address regulatory requirements related to data  handling and privacy Stakeholder Engagement •  Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and IT to align data initiatives with  organizational objectives •  Translate technical data concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders •  Build organizational data literacy by educating teams on data capabilities, governance, and best  practices •  Transform manual, ad-hoc reporting processes into standardized, validated, and repeatable  approaches OTHER DUTIES: •  Keep current of banking industry, banking systems, digital trends, regulation changes •  Create and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining  timely and prompt daily attendance. •  Other duties as assigned.
